SD780IS12.1 PowerShot MP Digital Camera (OR) Canon PowerShot SD1200IS Canon Digital Camera 10 MP?

I'm looking for decent quality camera that can record video and can be used to film the whole skateboarding. The Canon Power Shot SD1200IS 10 MP digital camera seems to be the best and in my price range. Do u think the next step is Power Shot SD780IS12.1 worth the extra money of $? The only major difference I see between the two chambers is that the SD780 can record videos in high definition, while the SD1200 can not. If it's a feature you find useful, it is worth the money.
