I a voice plan with a data packet and added text. To get any touchscreen phone Alltel offers I have to change my service to a smart plan. I see all these "Alltel" unlocked touch screen phones on ebay. "I can buy one and have Alltel activate it on my current plan?
I'm not but I think if the phone you buy is a smart phone, you need to get the backup plan, no matter what. If you buy a touch screen as a dumbphone LG Voyager (I just do not know if it would work on Alltel) would not require additional plan.
